In reading class, we have been learning about Black History month and many different influential people. We have studied Mae Jemison, George Washington Carver, Benjamin Banneker, Frederick Douglass, Katherine Johnson, Jackie Robison, Ruby Ridges, Martin Luther King and so many more. As we continue throughout the remainder of the this month, we will continue to learn about Black History month.
Students should be reading at least 20 minutes every night. Reading 20 minutes a day after school improves reading comprehension and reading skills.
In science class, we have been learning about the relationships within ecosystems. We have studied food chains, abiotic vs biotic factors, food pyramids, producers, consumers, decomposers and so much more. We learned symbiotic relationships and even did and ESCAPE ROOM which was so much fun! As we wrap up this unit, our next unit of study will continue the commonality, but will focus on Biomes.
