Last month, we shared our Transitioning Forward Plan for the upcoming school year. Just after the plan was made public, the Cuyahoga County Board of Health made the recommendation that schools in Cuyahoga County start the school year remotely. This recommendation was made because the county is in Level 3 / Red on the COVID-19 Advisory System. Level 3 is a high exposure / high spread advisory. Throughout the entire pandemic, St. Benedict Catholic School has been committed to the health and safety of our school community while providing excellent academic and social experiences. It is with this as our guiding mission, that we have reconvened and reevaluated our plan.
Therefore, St. Benedict Preschool will not be starting in-person on September 9th.
It is our goal to reinstate the Transitioning Forward Plan with the in-person option as soon as the Advisory System deems it appropriate. The county’s system will be evaluated during the third week of September and a decision in regards to the reinstatement of our plan will be determined and shared with our families. It is important to have students back in-person at the start of October but want to be certain they are safe when returning.
